Halloween: Grins, Chills or Screams? Part 4

Witch Mixing Potions

When I was writing the first three posts in this series, I found myself constantly flipping back and forth between each of the Halloween themes within the Kid Friendly, Creepy and Nightmares levels. I thought you might like to see a side-by-side comparison. The results below are astonishing.

As you can see, Kid Friendly characters are cute, almost cuddly. Creepy ones make you feel uneasy, wondering what it might do. However, if you encounter a Nightmare character along a lonely road at night, don’t waste time wondering… Run away!

This is the last post in the Halloween Grins, Chills & Screams series. In case you missed the first three parts, please be sure to read part 1 Kid Friendly, part 2 Creepy, and part 3 Nightmares for more inspiring ideas. I hope you enjoyed it. Please let me know your favorites in the comments.

Thanks for Reading. Happy Halloween & Happy Crafting!

  2. Thanks, Elvira, for your enthusiastic support and friendship. I agree a combination of Creepy and Nightmare works great. For table decor, I place black sheer fabric with spiders all over it on top of a blue tablecloth. I have spider candle holders and a few skeletons on the table too. There is a lit jack-o-lantern wearing a witch’s hat as the centerpiece. Please let me now what Halloween ideas you come up with for your table. The thriller novel has been temporarily put aside while I work on a few family events, including a special Halloween themed birthday party for my mom this weekend. Sweet dreams!

  7. Hi Elvira, sorry for the delay in getting back to you. The party was a lot of fun, but also exhausting afterward cleaning up. It was nice seeing everybody. Only half the guests were in costume, which was a bit of a disappointment. I don’t think they realize how it feels to be a kid again. Too bad you couldn’t come. I’m sure your costume would be amazing! I hope to post an article on making the feathered mask for my mom. Sweet dreams.
